Following his Southern Ontario Tour in March and recording his next album at Nashville in May, Adrian Sutherland is kicking off his summer show schedule on June 24 at The Park Theatre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
“I can’t wait to return to Winnipeg,” says Sutherland. “I have a lot of fans from the city who are active on my social media, so I’m looking forward to coming and performing live for them in their hometown.”
Adrian first performed in Winnipeg with his band Midnight Shine back in 2018. He returned again in 2019 to co-host and perform at the Indigenous Music Awards, and also to shoot a music video for Midnight Shine’s song Lonely Boy. Winnipeg is home to Sutherland’s long-time manager, RoseAnna Schick.
Winnipeg-based folk-soul artist of Anishinaabe and settler heritage, Ila Barker, will be performing in support of Adrian’s first solo show. Listeners are sure to be drawn in and deeply moved by the introspective lyrics she delivers. Her latest release Fool Under Water (2022) is an honour song to her metamorphosis into the powerhouse she is today, and a promise that the tide will turn.
For Winnipeggers lucky enough to attend, this concert will undoubtedly be an immersive experience that leaves a lasting impression. Don't miss your chance to witness this roots-rock powerhouse in action and experience the magic Adrian brings to the stage. Tickets HERE.
