The Horizon Tour: Heartfelt Thank You to Fans and Supporters

Adrian Sutherland, joined by his trio partners, Chris Gormley and Matt Gormley, wrapped up The Horizon Tour this past March. The multi-city tour brought his powerful blend of roots-rock, storytelling, and Cree culture to audiences across Southern Ontario.

The tour made stops at some of the region’s most respected venues, including Allied Music Centre at Massey Hall, Meridian Theatres at Centrepointe, Mills Hardware, Sonic Hall, and The Aeolian Hall. Each night delivered electrifying performances, with audiences responding warmly to the trio’s dynamic energy and heartfelt connection on stage.

From intimate stages to larger theatre settings, the shows offered more than just music, creating a meaningful and memorable experience for audiences. Sutherland’s songs, rooted in life in Attawapiskat and shaped by lived experience, resonated deeply and sparked conversations long after the final note.

Fresh off the release of his memoir, The Work of Our Hands, each stop on the tour offered audiences something more personal. Alongside performances with his trio, Sutherland took time to share live readings from the book, giving fans a deeper glimpse into his story and the inspiration behind his music.

Adding to the experience were opening performances by Matthew Holtby and Graeme Jonez, whose sets helped set the tone for each evening and introduced audiences to new voices.

Sutherland and his team expresses deep gratitude for the overwhelming support throughout the tour. While many fans attended shows across the run, the team also recognize those who supported from afar by sharing tour dates, spreading the word, and cheering on the journey even if they couldn’t be there in person.

As The Horizon Tour comes to a close, the experience stands as a reminder of the power of live music to bring people together across communities and cultures. For Sutherland and his team, it is not just about the performances, but the relationships built along the way and the shared moments that will carry forward into what’s next in Sutherland's music journey.

Check out a special ‘Thank You’ message from Adrian Sutherland and his trio partners, Chris Gormley and Matt Gormley.
