My Rebel Spirit: Music Video with Special Guest Mickey Raphael

Adrian Sutherland unveils his latest music video for My Rebel Spirit, a track from his sophomore album Precious Diamonds. The video features a special appearance by legendary harmonica player Mickey Raphael, adding a touch of magic to the already captivating storyline.

ABOUT THE SONG

Sutherland explores themes of self-discovery and staying true to oneself in My Rebel Spirit. The song reflects on the idea of embracing one's inner rebel, with Sutherland stating, "I’ve felt like an outsider at different times in my life, and the spirit in me has always been slightly rebellious. I’ve come to realize that being a rebel or an outsider is not such a bad thing. Just stay true to yourself, and you’ll stay on the right path."

ABOUT THE VIDEO

The music video brings this message to life through the journey of a musician, played by actor Jordan Talledo, who embarks on a quest to find his place in the world. The storyline is enriched by magical appearances of Mickey, who guides the young musician along his path. The video was created by FRANK Digital in Winnipeg, with live-action footage shot over two days combined with stunning animation.

The video director and CEO of FRANK Digital, Chris McIvor, expressed his excitement about working with Sutherland: “It was such a pleasure working with Adrian on this project. His passion for his music and the stories told through it are so compelling. I hope the video even remotely captures the essence of Adrian’s powerful lyrics.”
