From his home in Attawapiskat, Ontario, singer-songwriter Adrian Sutherland continues to bring the stories and music of James Bay to audiences across Canada and beyond. Air Creebec is helping to make that possible by renewing its partnership with Adrian for 2026 to 2027.

For an artist based in a remote, fly-in community, travel is an essential part of building a music and writing career. Whether Adrian is heading south to record, perform, attend industry events, or connect with audiences, his journey begins with a flight out of Attawapiskat.

Air Creebec connects Adrian from Attawapiskat to Timmins, where he can continue to destinations across Canada and beyond. Since 2019, the airline’s support has helped offset the significant travel costs associated with leaving an isolated northern community, allowing Adrian to dedicate more resources to creating and sharing music, videos, and stories rooted in Cree culture.

The partnership helps create opportunities for Adrian to bring his music and message beyond James Bay, while sharing Cree language, northern culture, and the experiences of life in a remote community with new audiences.
